Getting the Most Out of Your Consult

I appreciate you taking this step toward clarity and change. To ensure we make the most of our brief time together, please watch the short introduction video below and review the Client Criteria to confirm we are the right fit.

In this video, I outline my 14+ years of experience—from high-conflict child welfare to specialized private practice—and how I blend Depth Psychology, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Bowen Family Systems to help you live a more authentic life.

  1. Is This the Right Fit? (Please Read)

I maintain a busy practice and want to ensure I am the absolute best therapist for your specific needs. Before our call, please verify that the following expectations align with what you are looking for.

2. Who I Work Best With:

  • High-Functioning Individuals: You are generally functional in your job and daily life but are struggling with lingering internal issues, anxiety, or "neurotic" patterns that hold you back.

  • Survivors of Narcissistic Abuse: You are on the receiving end of complex family dynamics, scapegoating, or a narcissistic partner/parent and need to rebuild your sense of self.

  • Committed Clients: You are looking for a professional therapeutic relationship and are ready to prioritize the work.
Who I Do Not Work With:

  • Active Crisis or Severe Psychopathology: I do not treat schizophrenia, severe psychosis, or individuals who have been hospitalized for mental health crises recently.

  • Active Addiction: If you are currently battling active substance addiction, I recommend seeking a specialist in that field first.

  • Narcissistic Individuals: My practice focuses on the victims of narcissistic abuse, not the rehabilitation of those with Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

    3. Investment & Commitment

  • Therapy is an investment of time, energy, and money. To protect the integrity of the work, I value transparency regarding the commitment involved.

  • The Rate: Sessions are 185 CAD for individuals.

  • The Frequency: I primarily work with clients on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Once we have established a strong foundation (usually 6+ sessions), we can discuss moving to a maintenance schedule (e.g., every 3 weeks).

  • The Intent: This 15-minute consult is strictly to determine mutual fit for a paid therapeutic engagement.

    4. Not Ready for Therapy Yet?

  • If you are not looking for paid therapy at this time, or simply want to learn more about my philosophy, I invite you to explore my free resources. These are perfect if you are looking for general advice or education rather than clinical treatment.

  • Visit the Blog: In-depth articles on family systems and abuse recovery.

  • Watch on YouTube: Hours of content on navigating complex relationships.

  • Coming Soon: Keep an eye out for my upcoming course designed to help you navigate these challenges at your own pace.

I look forward to speaking with those ready to begin their journey.
