Free toolkit + 80-item assessment · Blake Anderson, RSW
Put clearer language around the pattern.
If one of my videos sent you here, these are the two free tools I mention: a workbook you can return to at your own pace, and an 80-item self-assessment that maps where scapegoating and the assigned family role show up in your life.
Both are free. The workbook comes with my free newsletter; no course, membership or purchase is required, and you can use either one on its own.
Two tools, one starting point
Name what happened. Then see where it lives.
Most people arrive knowing the labels and still feeling the guilt, the second-guessing and the pull to explain themselves. The workbook gives you language and practice; the assessment gives you a map. Start with whichever fits.

The Ascent Toolkit workbook
Reflection prompts and practical exercises on family roles, guilt and clearer limits, drawing on Bowen family systems, IFS and Jungian depth work.
- Arrives in your welcome email after you confirm your subscription.
- Work through it in any order; there is no wrong entry point.
- Private. Nothing you write is submitted anywhere.

The family-pattern self-assessment
Eighty core items across four areas, plus optional written reflections. You receive a free written report by email: a first map of the pattern, not a diagnosis.
- Answer on your own, at your own pace.
- Looks at inner experience, body and behaviour, a family member’s behaviour, and the family system.
- Educational. It does not diagnose you or your relatives.

The 80-item assessment
See where the pattern shows up.
The Integral Family Scapegoating Assessment asks eighty short questions about your experience in your family and the life you have built since. It maps your answers across four areas:
After you submit, you receive a free written report by email. It is an educational map to help you name the pattern and trust your own perception. It is not a diagnosis of you or anyone in your family.
How it works
- Start with consent and your details. The form opens with a privacy and consent note, then asks for your first name and email so the report can reach you, plus a few short context questions about your family role, current contact and any safety or legal pressures.
- Answer the 80 core items on your own, then a short set of life-area and body ratings. Ten optional written questions follow, in your own words.
- Read your report alongside the workbook, and take whatever next step fits.
Opens in a new tab. The written questions are optional, and you can close the form at any point; a report needs the completed form.
Reports are written individually. If yours does not arrive, check your spam folder or email info@blakeanderson.coach.
The person behind the teaching
I’m Blake Anderson, RSW.
I help adults make sense of scapegoating and emotionally immature family dynamics, practise clearer limits, and build a life beyond an assigned role. My work draws on Bowen family systems, IFS, Jungian depth psychology and Integral theory.
These free tools are a place to begin with education. If you want support for your own situation, you can explore Ontario psychotherapy or video coaching separately.
